Tackle it Tuesday: A - B - C

This time at the Tackle it Tuesday-challenge we use patterns starting with the letters A, B and C.
I chose these patterns and String 018:

  • Ansu by Lori Manoogian
  • Arc Flower by JJ LaBarbera
  • Bumps by Sue Jacobs
  • Caroline by Poppie_60
  • Cruze by Caren Mlot
It was fun trying some new-to-me-tangles :o)

String Thing # 77

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, so the next two challenges from Adele Bruno's "It's a String Thing" are heart-themed. This week we used String 077 and these patterns:

I added some color (Stabilo fineliner) and some water with a thin brush, so I got a watercolor-effect. I like the way it came out, I think I will try it again :o)

Diva-challenge # 202

This week it's Duotangle-time in the Diva-challenge #202 with two of Margaret Bremner's fabulous tangles named Chebucto and Copada. I love Margaret's art and her tangles very much, so this challenge was a pleasure to me :o)

Tackle It Tuesday # 57

For the "Tackle It Tuesday"-challenge #57 we should tangle with pattern starting with J-A-N and I tangled with the following patterns:

  • Japan Diamond by Laura Liu
  • Auseklis by Rita Nikolajeva (I used Auseklis as a string for 'Nzeppel)
  • 'Nzeppel by Zentangle

Have a great weekend!

Square One: Rixty

In the Facebook-group "Square One: Purely Zentangle" the topic of the week is "Rixty" by Zentangle. It was my first time Itangled with Rixty, ans I added the pattern "3-brayd" by Millie Galliher, so it looks a bit organic like plants or something like that. I like Rixty very much ♥

Joey's challenge # 44

I made this for Joey's challenge #44 with String 010 and the following patterns:

Joy by Joyce Block
Ansu by Lori Manoogian
Axlexa by Henrike Bratz

All patterns were new to me and I had a lot of fun :o)

String Thing # 76

This is my tile for The String Thing #76 on the great Tickled To Tangle-Blog. We had to use String 084 and the following patterns:
It was difficult to me to tangle with these organic patterns in such a straight String. I was not really satisfied with the result, so I added some Trumpuits on the outside of the fame ans shaded much more as I usually would do. It's not my favourite one, but I like Fjord and will use it again I think :-)

Diva-challenge # 201

For the Diva-challenge #201 we tangled for the "Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day 2015" on Friday, January 24th. The Diva's son Artoo also has the Moebius Syndrome, so it's an affair of her heart to support this. We should tangle with the Moebius Syndrome Foundation's logo as a string and if we want with some vioelet in it. So I decided to use
  • Adeline by Sue Jacobs and
  • Bilt by Lisa Skeen
and added some violet to it.

Have a great day!

Suqre One: BB

This is my contribution to this weeks' challenge in the group "Square One" at Facebook. We had to tangle with the pattern "BB" by Zentangle and I added the pattern "Balo" by Hsin-Ya Hsu. I like both patterns, BB is so simple and Balo detailed ♥

String Thing # 75

For Adele's String-Thing-challenge #75 I tangled with String 075 and these patterns:

Bales
Echoism
Ennies
Poke Leaf

I tangled once with Poke Leaf and Poke Root, the other patterns were new to me. I'm not very satisfied with this tile, but it was fun to tangle as always, so it doesn't matters if I like the result ;-)

Diva-challenge # 200

It's celebration-time on the "I am the Diva"-blog because today the Diva organizes the 200th tangle-challenge and I'm proud to take part to it. The challenge was to make a monotangle with our favourite pattern, no frames and to involve the number 200. I decided to take the 200 as a string and to tangle with `Nzeppel by Maria Thomas. I love the straight lines and round curves :-)

Joya

Tackle it Tuesday: N-E-W

Tackle it Tuesday on the Artful Creations-blog is back and the first challenge in 2015 was to chose patterns with the letters starting with N-E-W. I chose these patterns:

  • 'Nzeppel byRick Roberts and Maria Thomas
  • Emingle by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas
  • Wud by Joni Feddersen / Margaret Bremner (Steps)

I took a picture before shading, I'm always surprised how different the tangles look before and after shading:

As always it was a pleasure to tangle, thank you Cheryl!

Joey's challenge # 42

Here's my tile for Joey's challenge #42. To welcome 2015 we used String 015 and the pattern "Lucky"  by Adele Bruno. I didn't know this pattern and had a lot of fun to play with different ways to tangle around with it :-)

Have a nice evening,

String Thing # 73

New year, new start in tangling :-) Here's my tile for The String Thing #73. It's not like I wanted it to look like, but hey, I learned a new pattern (Schway) and I like it. And it was recreative to tangle around with it, so everything is alright :-)

I used the patterns
I hope I can participate more often in challenges like this in the following months :-)

Have a great time,
Joya

Hello 2015!

Hey folks, a very warm welcome to 2015! I hope all of you are doing well. I have to say sorry for the long break, I rarely posted since the beginning ov november. I got much to do and had hardly time to tangle.

Since a few weeks I participate to a nice small forum named "Musterkritzler" (german for "pattern-doodlers") and I try to figure out what else I can do with pen, paper and some colors maybe. Here are a few things I tried in the last time:

There was a topic of the month called "faces", and this is what I first doodled for it:

Just a few funny little monsters with some pattern around them. And this little girl I doodled at New Year's Eve as a second contribution for the topic:

This one is just a doodle to test the pattern. I found it really recreative like doing a Zentangle:

Today I started 2015 with a new tangle, I will show it later this day.

Kind regards,
Joya
